Allison Corrado is a senior program officer at the Foundation. Before joining the team in 2014, Allison was an employment specialist at the American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center in Minneapolis, where she worked with local community and technical colleges along with community-based organizations to connect graduates of health care programs with jobs. Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in family social science and master’s degrees in public policy and social work from the University of Minnesota.
Allison is passionate about working in partnership with other organizations and advocates to advance health equity and dismantle systems of oppression. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, daughter and two cats.
Majra Mucić Gibbons is a senior program officer at the Foundation, which she joined in 2022. Majra brings more than a decade of experience in improving livelihoods of global communities pushed to the margins. Born in Bosnia, Majra came to Minnesota as a refugee of war, and began her career as a humanitarian worker in Sudan and South Sudan. Prior to joining the Foundation, she managed large-scale agricultural economic development programs in East and Southern Africa, MENA region, the Caucasus and parts of Asia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and economics from Macalester College.
Majra prides herself in being a global citizen and a compassionate and impactful problem solver. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two children, and enjoys travel, biking, the city lakes and team sports.
Janet Jablonske is the operations manager at the Foundation. She joined the Foundation team in 2003. As operations manager, Janet is highly engaged in all aspects of the Foundation’s grantmaking process, financial reporting and website. She holds a degree in communications from Winona State University.
Janet has a keen eye for detail and is passionate about figuring out complex processes and making them user-friendly. When she’s not working, Janet can be found outdoors — hiking, biking, or traveling to new places with her husband.
Carolyn Link is president of the Foundation and senior director of community partnerships at Blue Cross. Since Carolyn joined the Foundation in 2011 she has guided the Foundation’s emphasis on health equity and the social determinants of health. Previously, Carolyn was director at Blue Cross’ Center for Prevention, where she focused on preventing tobacco use and promoting physical activity and healthy eating. Carolyn has also worked as a registered nurse and at the Minnesota Department of Health. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marquette University and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota. Carolyn also serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Minneapolis and the Minnesota Council on Foundations.
Carolyn has three young-adult children and lives in Minneapolis with her husband and their pandemic pup, Chip.
Camila Mercado Michelli joined the Foundation in 2024 as a Program Officer. Camila is an active community leader with a rich background in advocacy, community building and engagement, leadership development, family and youth programming, and systems change work. Prior to joining the Foundation, Camila designed, implemented and led multiple programs and strategic planning at Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES), leveraging her expertise to promote equity and drive meaningful social change. She is a graduate from MetroState University, where she majored in communications.
Camila’s passion for advocacy is matched only by her dedication to her family. Originally from Puerto Rico, with parents from Dominican Republic and Argentina, Camila now resides in St. Paul with her husband and their cat, Mikey.
Erica Orton is the Principal Evaluation Program Manager at the Foundation, which she joined in 2024. Erica has worked as an evaluator in a variety of nonprofit settings for more than a decade, including with the Minnesota Historical Society, Bush Foundation and the Fair Food Network in Detroit, MI. Prior to beginning her career in evaluation, Erica worked as a second-grade teacher, an art conservator and a music instructor. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with an individualized degree in Music, Studio Art and American Studies.
Erica is passionate about using data and insights from communities to help build a more equitable and prosperous society for everyone. She lives in South Minneapolis and in her free time enjoys photography, travel, gardening and playing bass clarinet in local community ensembles.
Katy Schultz leads communications strategy for the Foundation. In addition, she supports strategic communications for the Blue Cross enterprise, including the Center for Prevention, Healthy Together Willmar and Blue Cross’ Gender Care and Service initiative. Katy holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the College of St. Benedict and a master’s degree in communication and leadership from Gonzaga University.
Katy is passionate about how communications can influence and shape the world. She lives in Savage with her husband and two daughters, and spends her free time with her family, doing DIY projects, running and reading.
